Edibles, medicines, medical kits distributed

In connection with the observance of 77th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, who is also known as architect of modern India, essential items including food grains, edible oil, salt, face mask and sanitizer were distributed to Senior Citizens' Home on Friday.
The distribution done under the initiative of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary Maibam Sobhachandra was attended by MPCC secretary Avinash and MPYCC co-ordinators L Chingthamkhomba Singh and Usham Manglem.
Tree saplings were also planted at Konjeng Leikai, Ebudhou Nongshaba Laishang and Lamdong Lampak as a part of the commemorative event.
Similarly, MPCC member Khuraijam Ratankumar of Khurai A/C distributed edible items to 230 families in ward no 3/39 Khurai Kongkham Leikai in connection with the birth anniversary for Rajiv Gandhi.
On the other hand, Patsoi AC ex-MLA S Kunjakeshore alias Keba handed over relief items to Lukram Leirak Youth Club (LLYC) for further distribution to-every family in Lukram Leirak ward no 19/28 and 19/29 including those living in rented quarters.
Meanwhile, Covid Response Team (CRT of Seva Bharti, Manipur under RSS distributed Arogya and medicine kits to 60 Covid warrior/ volunteers in 48 villages under Sawombung block of Imphal East district on Friday.
The kits were distributed in a public event held at Pungdongbam Awang Leikai Community Hall in the presence of programme co-convener RK Dinamani, RSS Imphal Bibhag Pracharak Kh Binanda and Jila Seva Pramukh Th Holendro.
Highlighting voluntary works being taken up by RSS and Seva Bharti Manipur including setting up of oxygen banks, which provides medical oxygen to Covid patients in home isolation, Th Holendro said that one can avail the service of hiring oxygen concentrator by submitting an application along with the doctor's prescription for medical oxygen, ID proof of the patient & one of the family members or relatives, passport size photographs and security deposit of Rs 5000 (refundable).
RSS in association with Regional Research Institute for Homeopathy, New Checkon is also planning to distribute 10,000 arsenic album tablets, he added.
