Awareness on One-Stop centre conducted

Noney, August 20 2021:
A one-day awareness programme on "One Stop Centre" was held on Friday at Duithanjang village community hall under Khoupum sub-division of Noney district.
During the programme organised by One Stop Centre (OSC) Noney district under the aegis of Ministry of Women and Child Development, OSC Noney centre administrator Lamana Riamei delivered the keynote address on the "Role and function of One Stop Centre" followed by resource persons namely SDC (Noney) Disin Gangmei, who is alsathe nodal "Women Empowerment" and Khoupum police station OC Athao Kamei elaborated on "Domestic violence against women and child".
A voluntary speech on "how to avoid social media misuse and protect from liability" was also delivered by The Tamenglong Times correspondent Gaithaodin Malangmei.
The programme was organised with the main aim to make the locals aware about rights of women and the various schemes to empower women in the rural areas.
As part of the event, walking sticks were distributed to 20 elderly women and facemask and sanitizers handed over to the villagers.
The event was also attended by village authority leaders.
