A special initiative of the State Govt christened fast track settlement of appointment under die-in-harness scheme in respect of Education (S), was launched today at the Directorate of Education (S), Lamphelpat.
During the two day programme, claimants to die-inharness scheme in Education (S) would be interacting directly with officials of the department to identify the genuine cases and finalise necessary procedures.
The initiative taken up for Education (S) assumed significance as there is provision to make appointments up to five percent under die-in-harness scheme.
Education (S) Director H Harekrishna said that the seniority list would be compiled after ascertaining the number of claimants to die-in-harness scheme in Education (S).
The seniority list compiled by the Directorate would be forwarded to the Department of Personal for appointment.
Saying that there are around 673 claimants to die-in-harness scheme in the department, Harekrishna said that considerations were being made to give appointments to these claimants up to five percent of the total number of primary teachers for whom recruitment process was under progress.
Education Minister L Jayentakumar and Commissioner PK Singh came and oversaw the settlement process.
