Even though two rounds of meeting were held, BJP Manipur Pradesh could not arrive in the choosing of its candidate for the bye-election to Yaiskul Assembly Constituency.
Even though the party is keeping its eye to former Chief Minister RK Dorendro as their nominee in the bye-election, the meetings could not arrive at a conscious, source close to the party said.
The first round of meeting of the election committee of the party was held at the party office at Nityapat Chuthek at 11.30 am.
The meeting discussed on the report furnished by the Yaiskul Mandal of the party with regard to sending out party candidate along with opinion invited from other party workers and leaders.
The meeting lasted till 1 pm.
Another rounds of meeting was held from 1.30 pm.
It was lasted for about one and half hour.
In the meeting representative of the Yaiskul Mandal sought three days time to reconsider in recommending party candidate.
After the meeting, party president, Dr H Borbabu said observed that the party will take some more time in choosing its candidate.
