CM inaugurates Kakching CC

Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh inaugurated a newly constructed building of Kakching Community Centre at Kakching Sumak Leikai, Ward No 12 in Thoubal District today.
The inaugural function of the new building constructed under Integrated Housing & Slum Development Program (IHSDP) of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewable Mission (JnNURM) was also attended by Kakching MLA Y Surchandra Singh, Wabagai MLA Md Fajur Rahim, Chairperson of Kakching Municipal Council Ksh Subadani Devi and Y Nando Singh, Vice-Chairperson, Kakching Municipal Council.
Speaking at the occasion, Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh stated that public co-operation is important for the Government while implementing development schemes.
"The Government cannot initiate any project against the people.
Developmental projects taken up by the State Government are for the welfare of the people.
Therefore, public should co-operate with the Government," asserted the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister also assured to improve potable water supply, electricity and Community Health Centre of Kakching at the earliest.
T Ranjit Singh, DC Thoubal, Director MAHUD and top ranking civil and police officers also attended the inaugural function.
The Community Centre was constructed by Kakching Municipal Council at the estimated cost of Rs 1.17 crore out of which Rs 29.61 lakh and Rs 3.29 lakh were shared by the Centre and the State Government respectively under JnNURM.
Another Rs 28.60 lakh and Rs 56.10 lakh were drawn from the MLA's Local Area Development Fund and additional grant of State Government.
The inaugurated centre comprises of a multipurpose Hall, creche room, child care room, health care room, society/consulting room besides VIP latrine and community urinal.
Later on, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the main gate of Kakching Garden in the presence of Y Surchandra Singh, MLA Kakching Assembly Constituency.
