AR organises career counselling, Swachh Bharat Mission

The 20 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised Career Counselling for students of the Koinonia High School, Chandel on November 21 .
The students were addressed by officers of the unit and explained in detail about various career opportunities.
The students were educated about the career in the Armed Forces and given information on the benefits of servicing in defence.
Medical Officer of the unit also brought out the opportunities for joining the CAPFs.
He also educated students on the ways to pursue a career as a medical officer in the Armed Forces.
At the end of the counselling, the students were given a thought of finding themselves in uniform one day in the future.
The teachers on behalf of school authorities and parents expressed their gratitude to the Assam Rifles for giving such an exposure to the students which will remain etched in their minds and will help them in becoming responsible citizen in the future.
On the other hand, taking forward the initiative of clean India Mission, the officers and troops alongwith their families of 16 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised cleanliness drive of Shangshak village on November 22.A lecture was also conducted on disposal as per the biodegradable & non �biodegradable nature of waste.
These steps would ensure more cleanliness of the area thus preventing people from various diseases.
The local population of Shangshak village later also pledged to ensure cleanliness and to realize the dream of a "Swachh Bharat" .
Around 100 villagers participated in the event.
The Headman of the village along with other important personalities later thanked the Assam Rifles for motivating them to join this cleanliness drive.
