Chief minister's health scheme launched in Kakching

Kakching, November 15 2021:
'Chief Minister's Health for All Scheme' which aims at providing primary health care services and chronic disease management by conducting health screening at the doorsteps of the people has been launched in Kakching district on Monday.
The scheme was launched during a ceremony organised by District Health Society, Kakching at Health and Wellness Centre, Langmeidong.
The launch ceremony was attended by Hiyanglam MLA Dr Radheshyam Yumnam as chief guest and National Health Mission Manipur State Mission director Dr Ningombam Shyamjai as president while CMO Kakching Dr Thaodem Rajen, Non Communicable Diseases Manipur State Nodal Officer Dr Y Premchand, Langmeidong Gram Panchayat pradhan Yumnam Bedapati and Keirak Gram Panchayat up-pradhan Yumnam Ratankumar were present as guests of honour.
CHC Kakching MO in charge Dr Haobam Surjitkumar, PHC Hiyanglam MO in-charge Dr Elangbam Kiran Singh and others also attended the event.
In his speech, MLA Dr Radheshyam said that non-communicable diseases claim the lives of many untimely but many patients suffering from these diseases do not go to doctors for treatment either due to financial problem or negligence.
Apart from launching various welfare schemes including in health sector, chief minister N Biren Singh has launched 'Health for All Scheme' to save people from non-communicable diseases.
He said that 'Health for All Scheme' was launched on October 14 and it has been launched in respect for Kakching AC after one month.
In the first phase, patients living under the jurisdiction of Health and Wellness Centre, Langmeidong and Primary Health Sub Centre, Keirak will be covered and then it will spread to other villages, he added.
On the launch day, Hyderabad-based TAMOGNA Group conducted health screening at the doorsteps of villagers apart from conducting demonstration and health check-up as part of the scheme.
