Planting of IED decried

Thamlapokpi Village Authority and Lamkang Naga Kver Kunpun (LNKK), the apex body of Lamkang tribe, have strongly condemned the incident of planting an IED near Thamlapokpi village in Chandel District yesterday.
In a joint statement signed by Samsom Silsi, Secretary of Thamlapokpi village authority and Th.Anil, Chairman of Thamlapokpi village, the two bodies strongly condemned the act of planting a powerful IED near their village as could create enmity among different communities living in peace and harmony.
While appreciating the 20 Assam Rifles for timely recovery and disposal of the IED, the village Authority has also appealed to various UGs/ Organisations of the State not to repeat such act in the area in near future.
Meanwhile, the apex body of Lamkang Naga Tribe, The Lamkang Naga Kver Kunpun (LNKK) has also decried the incident of planting IED within the boundary of Thamlapokpi village yesterday.
In a statement signed jointly by its President DB Thamdok and General Secretary SK Moningam, LNKK further appeal to all the organizations not to repeat such act in future.
