MSCP celebrates 16th B'day

Manipur State Congress Party today celebrated its 16th foundation day in Imphal during which the party announced to launch a mass enrollment programme for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls next year.
On the occasion, MSCP MLA Thamarjit Karam spoke on the party's future tactics for winning more seats in the next state assembly elections in 2017.The party won five seats in the last elections to the 10th Manipur assembly polls.
The MSCP legislative party leader accused the O Ibobi Government of failing to manage the education and health sectors in the state, saying the future of Manipur has lost its colour.
A mass enrollment programme will be launched by his party for the next Parliament polls, Thamarjit announced, but added that the party has not yet decided whether to put up its candidate in the fray.
Most of the party leaders in the function condemned the menace of corruption confronting the state.
They asserted that corruption is the root cause of all sorts of problem in the state.
They said that MSCP always stands against practice of corruption.
The party's leadership also said they always condemn the state BJP for illegally possessing MSCP's office at Nityapak Chuthek here.
Yumnam Mani Singh, president, MSCP, Nemcha Kipgen, MLA, Adim Pammei, vice-president, Vivek Raj Wangkhem, spokesperson and all the Central Executive Committee members were also present at the occasion.
