Thoubal, August 02 2019: Standing on their firm stand that Thoubal River Conservation Commitee (TRCC) will resort to violent agitation if the State Govt allow mining and quarrying of sand and stone from Thoubal river in the supposedly new regulation, TRCC condemned the alleged post of one individual on social media claiming that "CM has taken permission from HC for particular site to continue quarrying and mining of sand and stone " which went viral in social media.

A statement issued by TRCC said that the committee handover the detained trucks and vehicles which were used in illegal quarrying of sand and stone to police and forest department under CrPC, section 43 as per the order of HC.

Alleging that police and forest department have denied to take in the said seized trucks and vehicles in their custody, TRCC said that they will seek guidance from the HC regarding the matter.
