ANSAM condoles Dr Vareso; lauds Catholic Church

All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM) has condoled the demise of LMS College, DM University Professor Dr Vareso Ningshen.
In a release, ANSAM president Thiirtung Wanglar stated that they are saddened by the sudden demise of an erudite scholar, who was a mentor and strength to ANSAM also.
He was a teacher not only to the student community but also to everyone who sought his knowledge and expertise.
He understood the movement like no other and propounded co-existence but never took the middle path.
He boldly shared that the Naga National Flag and a Constitution is not anathema to co-existence.
Rather, it was a path to greater self-determination of every people.
He did not hesitate to discourse openly within and beyond the state and encouraged the same to all, the release added.
The release lamented that a man who had clarity of vision and walked the talk has been lost.
ANSAM shared deepest condolences to his wife and children and to the fraternity he built across communities and affiliations and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
On the other hand, ANSAM expressed appreciation and acknowledgement to Catholic Church in Manipur for possible collaboration with the Health Department in containing the spread of Covid-19 pandemic in Manipur.
Mention may be made that Dominic Lumon DD, Archbishop, Archdiocese of Imphal in his consent letter to the Principal Secretary (Health & FW) stated that they are willing to share and collaborate with their infrastructure strength in assisting the state government in the vaccination drive, awareness creation, information and sharing and providing their facilities for primary care by creating isolation centres.
