Chandel DC inaugurates Integrated Mission School

Deputy Commi-ssioner of Chandel Ning-thoujam Geoffrey inaugu-rated Integrated Mission School, a residential school for orphans, differently abled children and those belonging to families below poverty line, at Aibuldam Village in the district on Tuesday.
The inaugural function of the school which is run and managed by Tedei Association for Tribal Orphan and Disable Home was also attended by SS Olish, former President of Lamkang Snu Lop; Rev.J Simon, President of Lamkang Naga Baptist Association (LNBA) and Rev Kumar Khular, executive secretary of LNBA as the guest of honour, functional president and blessing minister respectively.
The Chandel DC who was also the chief guest of the function unveiled a monument which was followed by a blessing prayer from Rev.Kumar Khular.
During the function, founding Principal of the school, J Darjoy Lamkang, submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner besides presenting gifts to the dignitaries.
Speaking at the sideline of the inauguration, Darjoy Lamkang said that the school is a non-profit organization with an objective of providing free education to orphans, differently abled and children of the poorest families so that they can compete with others.
He further said that with the donations and assistances from generous friends and other individuals, the association took care and provided shelters to 35 orphans and differently abled children.
He added that the association has not received any kind of assistance from the side of the government till date.
Shakhila Lamkang, former President of Chandel Naga Women Union; Kh Khalwar, chief of Kongpe Village; J Kanhring, Pastor of Aibuldam and Sk Mosindai, Pastor of Lamrinkhuw also attended the inaugural function among others.
