Campaigning to end today at 3 pm

All propaganda, publicity and campaigns related with the second phase of the 11th State Assembly election will end tomorrow at 3 pm.
Chief Minister Okram Ibobi is also contesting in Thoubal A/C in the second phase of the election where a total of 98 candidates including four women candidates are in the fray.
All necessary preparations have been completed for the election in which 3,81,381 male voters, 3, 93,091 female voters along with 3738 male service voters and 1159 female service voters will cast their votes in 1151 polling stations.
22 Congress candidates, 22 BJP candidates, 2 CPI candidates, 6 Trinamool Congress candidates, 1 NCP candidate, 12 recognised State political parties' candidates, 24 registered but unrecognised parties' candidates and 24 independent candidates will contest the second phase of the election.
With 53,556 voters, Mao has the highest number of voters.
The CEO office has already deployed a section of Central Paramilitary forces at each polling station for the second phase of the election along with the security forces which were used for yesterday's election.
Five helicopters have also been stationed for use in emergencies and for transporting the polling personnel.
