Imphal, January 03 2015 :
The Zeliangrong Youth Front (AMN) has expressed shock over the reported kidnapping of three minors yesterday from near Puiluan (Kambiron) village in Tamenglong district by an accused namely Ozish Lima S/o Shahu Lima hailing from Ganga Sparsh Undri, Pune, Maharastra.
The kidnapped children were rescued the same day following swift action of Nungba PS and CRPF personnel.
According to a statement issued by the ZYF (AMN), three minor children namely Kundaigong Gonmei (9), Kabamdai Gonmei (5) sons of Lumkhangam Gonmei and Jianchuipou Kamei S/o Sankar, all residents of Luangba (Nungba) village, were kidnapped yesterday from a place near Puiluan, about 10 kms away from Luangba (Nungba) Hqs.
Preliminary and independent investigation conducted by Zeliangrong Youth Front regarding the incident revealed that the accused Ozish Lima has been travelling non-stop covering almost over the entire country since July 2014, the statement said.
He crossed major cities and capitals of several States including Pune, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Kashmir, Shimla, Sikkim, Siliguri, Itanagar, Guwahati, Nagaland, Imphal, Moreh etc.
There is great suspicion regarding the nature of his travelling alone in his own yellow colour Maruti Alto car bearing Regd No MH12-BP-5922.He managed to sneak into the highly sensitive frisking and check posts of the security forces located and situated along the highways even as many check posts are established to check and monitor outsiders without genuine documents to cross some areas.
It is not practicable for a person to leave home travelling for about seven months without any support being lent or extended by somebody to meet his daily requirements, apart from vehicle maintenance.
It is also a matter of shock that the man is so acquainted with the situation here although it was his first visit to the North Eastern States.
It is also learnt that he slept in his car near the City Convention Centre, Imphal on December 30, 2014 .
Nungba PS registered a case in connection with the incident under 1(1)/2015 NBA-PS u/s 363 IPC.
Befitting punishment should be given to the accused in order to set an example.
ZYF cautioned all the people particularly Zeliangrong people who are living along the National Highway 37 to be more vigilant and alert as criminal and other anti social activities may frequently take place along the highway in future.
The Zeliangrong Youth Front also expressed extreme gratitude and appreciation to the CRPF and Nungba police personnel who swung into action swiftly and rescued the minor children from the clutch of the criminal.
