Imphal, December 11:
The first Indo-Myanmar joint car rally flagged off by Defence Minister AK Antony on December 5 from New Delhi arrived at Imphal today afternoon.
The team led by Lt Col KS Chauhan, VSM was received by Senapati Deputy Commissioner Dr Prem, Commander of 59 Mountain Brigade Raman Dhawan, Commandant 22 AR Col VS Malik and school students on their arrival at Senapati at about 1 pm.
Car rally being flagged off for the Myanmar/Moreh leg
The team which include 12 personnel of Myanmar Army was flagged off for Imphal by Commander Raman Dhawan.
Taking part in the press meet, Lt Col Sein Than of Myanmar Army conveyed gratitude to the people for their hospitality.
The car rally which arrived at Leimakhong today afternoon would be flagged off tomorrow from Khuman Lampak by the officiating GOC of 57 Mountain Division.
The reception ceremony at Senapati Public ground was organised by C-Company of 22 Assam Rifles.
