The Naga People�s Convention, has come out with a six point declarations stating the political stand of the Naga people in the �present state of Manipur�.
1.That all the past initiatives of the Naga Peoples and the Naga leaders on Naga integration shall be upheld.
2.To urge the Naga Hoho to expedite the publication of white paper on Naga integration as per the resolution number 3 of the Naga Hoho Sixth Federal Assembly (Which read) �The house resolved to convene a special session on integration to which a white paper on the issue would be presented and a final thrust given�.
3.We shall initiate immediate measures necessary for our integration and earnestly urge the government of India to fulfill its commitment to the Nagas on the issue.
4.To rechristen the existing CCCF as the UNC Working Group and it shall incorporate the assistance of intellectuals, professionals and elders in its working.
5.To appeal to all camps of the national workers to expedite the process of rapprochement amongst themselves to enhance the national cause.
6.To appeal the government of India to honour the 14th June 2001 Bangkok Agreement and work out a journey to bring about a genuine political solution to the Naga issue.
The meeting also noted that the Naga ancestral homeland has been divided without their will and consent between India and Burma nor Myanmar, and within Indian into the four administrative unites of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Nagaland which historically has been the greatest wound to their identity.
It also said that it is the past history as well as the stand of the Naga people and leaders that forms the basis of the struggle of the younger generation of Nagas today in the journey to live together as one people.
