MPP Youth Front today announced that the front will launch drive against the price rise by the traders despite lifting of economic blockade.
The drive is to be launched by the volunteers of Youth Front of the party as per decision arrived at a youth conference held at Haraorou Khundrakpam, Imphal East today considering that it is the bouden duty to relieve public from the hardships of price rise, a statement of the front signed by its general secretary, Y Langamba said.
The statement also strongly criticized when prices of essential commodities in the market failed to come down even after the lifting of economic blockade around half a month back.
The Youth Front also called upon all concerned to take up steps for normalization of prices of essential commodities, the statement said adding that the front would be compelled to take up steps against the traders selling essential commodities at high prices.
