The 26 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 57 Mountain Division has organised a medical camp at Kotlein village in Senapati district today.
The camp was organized as a part of welfare measure to detect any health problems faced by villagers and advise/provide remedial measures/medical treatment, a statement of the IGAR (S) said adding that around 270 people including 130 women, 100 men and 40 children were examined by RMO of 26 Assam Rifles in the camp.
Free medicines were distributed to the needy patients.
The aim of the camp was to spread awareness about healthy living and provide relief to people of remote villages suffering from any ailments.
The RMO also aware the people on the precautions need to be taken to prevent malaria and on health hygiene and sanitation during the camp, it added.
