Imphal, June 28 2018:
Manipur Muslim Welfare Organisation (MMWO) has demanded the State Government to revoke the Cabinet decision of June 26 to appoint Kh Dineshchandra as a Member Secretary of Manipur Minorities & Other Backward Classes Economic Development Society (MOBEDS) at the earliest and to retain the trust between MMWO and the minorities and the State Government.
A press release issued by the secretary information and publicity of MMWO today questioned the agenda of the Government behind the appointment of Kh Dineshchandra, who was degraded to the level of Joint Secretary, as a Member Secretary of MOBEDS again.
MMWO also asked if the Government has no other eligible Administrative Secretary or IAS officer besides Kh Dineshchandra for the post of the Member Secretary and warned that if the State Government fails to hear the demand of MMWO and cancel the order appointing the said individual as the Member Secretary pf MOBEDS, the association is set to take up a far more intense agitation than any other previous ones.
