Aid extended to trans-gender, families in C-zones, task forces

Imphal, June 17 2021:
BJP Manipur Pradesh state council member and BJP Lamlai Mandal chairman Kh Ibomcha distributed edible items to four households in Sanjenbam Sabal, 10 in Sangsabi, one in Takhel, 12 in Pungdongbam, one in Lousangkhong and two households in Napet which have been notified as containment zones after family member(s) contracted Covid-19.He also extended monetary aid to Nungoi and Sangjenbam Saban Leikai Covid-19 Task Force.
Kakching Municipal Council also handed over protective items including hand sanitizers, hand gloves, face mask and PPE to 12 Covid Task Forces set up for combating Covid-19 pandemic in twelve wards of the constituency.
The handing over of the items held at the office of Deputy Commissioner Kakching was attended by Kakching MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar, deputy commissioner D Gangmei, chief medical officer Thaodem Rajen, additional deputy commissioner Moirangthem Kapajit, SDO Maringmei Pourallung Kamei, Kakching Municipal Council executive engineer Naorem Ramchandra, AE Salam Jugeshwor and Sanitary Inspector Moirangthem Gobardhon among others.
Meanwhile, social worker from Kakching Mayai Leikai Yengkhom Nilachandra distributed essential items to 57 transgender people residing in Kakching, Wabagai, Irengband and Pallel while Covid Task Force Yaiskul distributed edible items to families in Yaiskul whose residential places have been declared as virus zones.
Moreover, a team led by All Manipur Indane Distributors' Association convener and RBD proprietor Robindro Sharma handed over essential items to Community Home Isolation Centres set up at Lamboi Khongnangkhong, Bal Bhawan, Maharaja Bodhchandra College, Eastern Ideal college, St Joseph Higher Secondary School and State Academy of Training, Takyelpat.
Changangei Gram Panchayat pradhan Laishram Roma Leima also extended a sum of Rs 2000 each to CHICs set up at St Joseph Higher Secondary School and State Academy of Training as intending candidate of Kshetrigao A/C Sheikh Nurul Hassan along with volunteers of Nongpok Lamjing Naharol club, local meira paibi members and polling committee members distributed edible items to every household in polling stations 4/37 Naharup A and 4/38 Naharup B under Kshetrigao A/C.He also provided potable water by requisitioning water tankers for people residing in Kshetrigao Mayai Leikai.
BJP Manipur Pradesh special invitee and Bhubon Technical and Skill Development Private Limited chairman Naorem Nabachandra too handed over edible items for 250 selected destitute households in Kakching constituency to All Irengband Football Association (AIFA) for further distribution.
On the other hand, Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch donated three oxygen concentrators to Imphal West Chief Medical Officer for Covid patients on Thursday.
A team led by IRCS, I/W district branch president Th Kirankumar, who is also the deputy commissioner of Imphal West, vice president Kh Jadu, secretary Dr Bangkimchandra and Youth coordinator Goutam Thokchom handed over the oxygen concentrators to CMO Dr Salam Priyokumar.
