Demand for safe release

Ipak film Production Manipur has condemned the abduction of prominent Manipur film script writer Yaiskul Khwairakpam, along with three other individuals, on July 5 by unknown person at Awang Sekmai, Khurkhul Road.
Ipak film Production Manipur also requested safe release of Yaiskul Khwairakpam, story writer of the film 'Leiyisigee Wangmada' and 'Bangladesh gee Thoibi' the first ever Manipuri fiction film based on Bangladesh, without any condition on humanitarian ground.
Yaiskul Khwairakpam, who has been in a teaching profession for a long time was not only a prominent story writer but also took up a vital role in safe guarding the art and culture and integrity of the State as a senior citizen.
He is one of the first person who tried to teach Meetei Mayek to the inhabitants of Tripura and also tried to create a good and neighbourly relation with Manipuris both inside and outside the State.
Ipak film production Manipur further expressed their concern as no information has been received yet on the sudden abduction of Yaiskul Khwairakpam along with three other individuals and appealed to whoever is responsible to safely released the abducted individuals at the earliest.
