Imphal, October 08 2014:
On the occasion of 37th Birth Anniversary of proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK), its chairman N.Nongdrenkhomba has greeted the people of Manipur, party cadres and revolutionary groups of the region including the CorCom, and the media fraternity of the state, while offering revolutionary salute to all its slain cadres.
Emphasizing the need for unity among the revolutionary organizations and the people of the region, the message of the Chairman expressed belief that the revolutionary activities will move forward with a unified stand against the Indian forces.
'When we respect the wishes of the people, revolution will gain momentum', the message said.
The PREPAK message, while alleging that the people of Manipur are facing hardships under the atrocious regime of the Indian government, has said policies designed by the regime have helped in cropping up animosities among various communities and groups.
Recalling that India government had begun to put in measures for suppressing the revolutionary groups operating in its north eastern states since 1968, the proscribed organization cited that Indian army opened a guerilla training centre at Vairangte, situated at the border between Mizoram and Assam in May, 1970.The formation of Bangladesh in 1972 became a turning point in the Indian political strategy, which in turn posed a serious threat to the revolutionary groups of north east region, the message added.
As a hidden agenda, Indian regime facilitated intrusion of Chakma, Muslim and Hindu refugees into north east states, it said while recounting that Tripura, Mizo, Naga accords and General Amnesty in Manipur were brought about during the early 1970s.Since the 1980s, India government had started initiating political process for settlement of issues by resorting to political instigation and economic inducement to selected groups, claimed the chairman's message which also alleged that the government began devising concepts like district autonomy, state autonomy, homeland and greater state under the framework of Indian constitution to woo the insurgent groups into peace talks.
It reiterated that the far sighted leaders of Manipur must understand the 'communal card' design orchestrated by India.
Citing that India Government did not allow the Chinese President Xi Jin Ping to meet north easterners during his recent visit to Gujarat, the proscribed PREPAK charged that India can never nurture unity among the various groups with such discriminatory attitude.
The party president, in his message, also stressed the need for unity among the various communities residing in hills and valley of Manipur so as to maintain an independent existence.
'Expansionism and communalism' have been the handiworks of India since the very beginning, asserted chairman Nongdrenkhomba who pointed out that the series of acts of racial discrimination against the people of West South East Asia (WESEA) as exhibited in Delhi are ample proof of the biased attitude of India.
While saying that AFSPA is not imposed in mainland states of India which are seriously affected by Maoists' activities, the message blamed the regime for enforcing the draconian act in Manipur, and Jammu and Kashmir, thereby letting the security forces to indulge in killing civilians in fake encounter cases.
As many as 1528 cases of fake encounters in Manipur have been set aside without trial, it alleged.
The message also rebuked that the 'Look East Policy' of India will not benefit the state, as there are no factories and industries which will promote the manpower of the state.
The policy will rather become disastrous to this land, where no proper utilization of available resources and manpower has been witnessed, it claimed.
