CS talks against disturbance to students' academic environment

Imphal, October 18 2015:
Chief Secretary of Manipur, O Nabakishore appealed to the public not to disturb the academic environment of students and free them from any issues.
O Nabakishore was speaking during the 14th annual prize distribution function for the State level Okram Sagei meritorious students of Class X and XII from both Manipur Board and CBSE 2015.The programme was organised by Okhram Sagei Apokpa Trust at Manipur Press Club on Sunday.
The Chief Secretary said that the frequent bandh and strike in the State have affected the academic students in their academic career.
He appealed to the public not to disrupt the academic environment of students and free them from any kind of agitation.
He further said schooling is the most important stage in a student's life and advised all students to follow good guidelines to become good citizens and work for a better future for the State and the Nation as well.
The best sportspersons in the field of fencing, football and hockey were also felicitated during the programme and financial assistance was given to the oldest Okram Ningol and Okram Piba and old women registered vendors of Ima Keithel.
Education (S) Director N Praveen Singh attended as the function as the president and Department of Psychiatry, RIMS, Prof Dr RK Lenin as special guest.
