Tamenglong, March 10 2013 :
With the frequent broke down of broadband service, broadband subscribers in Tamenglong district have decried the BSNL authorities and urged for immediate restoration.
The broadband service and 3G provided by BSNL have remained broke down since 24 March 2013 following damage of an Optical Fibre Cable (OFC).
The authority had repaired the damaged portion on 5 March 2013 .
But the resumed service lasted for two days only.
The authority maintained that they could not locate where the OFC has been damaged.
However, it is believed that the default could be between Tamenglong and Khongsang BTS.
Last year, too, broadband subscribers faced the same problem.
According to reliable source, Tamenglong Telephone Ex-change BSNL has only 2 MBPS for the district.
Presently, there are 46 broadband subscribers in the district and all the subscribers are facing slow connection and frequent broke down.
On the other hand, the prepaid BSNL mobile service has not been of any help either.
The network connection is so pathetic that one has to press more than 10 times to connect a call.
