Govindas exhorts all to have work culture

Underlining the need for promoting work culture among the people, Minister for Commerce and Industries Govindas Konthoujam has exclaimed that whether big or small, we should be satisfied with the work we are involved in.
He was speaking on the occasion of 'Distribution of Margin Money, Looms, Accessories and Equipments to Handloom Clusters, Group Approach and Special Awareness-cum-Registration Camp of Imphal West district' held under the aegis of the Office of District Handlooms and Textiles, Imphal West, at GM Hall here today.
The Minister further stated that the distribution of margin money, looms, etc, to the weavers of the State is being done under the financial assistance from the Central Government.
The State Government is also taking up various welfare schemes for the women weavers of the State.
So, people should not consider their job as big or small, but carry on with their duties efficiently with a sense of work culture to make the State a self-reliant one.
The Indian Government has arranged special funds for the women weavers of the North East States.
From the arranged amount, the women weavers of Manipur will be getting the biggest share as the number of women weavers in Manipur is much higher than other NE States.
As such, the women weavers of the State should be wise enough to utilize this opportunity, the Minister exhorted.
Presided over by O Nabakishore, Principal Secretary of Commerce and Industries, the function was also attended by W Brajabidhu, MLA of Lamshang A/C; M Rajen, Project Manager of District Handlooms and Textiles, Imphal West and Lamee Kamei, Deputy Director of Commerce and Industries as Guests of Honour.
