Contraband haul recovered in Senapati

Imphal, November 13 2011:
About 300 Kgs of Grade - I Ganja, worth approximately Rs 14,50,000, were recovered by personnel of 5 Assam Rifles of HQ 59 Mountain Brigade in Senapati District.
A press realese issued by PIB (DW) stated that it was recovered from a Maruti Gypsy (MN-03P-1337), were packed in blue and black polythenes on Sorbung Natang road.
The owner of the Gypsy has been identified as one Ashihrii Adani of Kaiba village under Tadubi Police Station in Senapati District.
The party led by Major Akshay Yadava, also recovered cash amounting to Rs 7,885 and two mobile sets.
The party also apprehended two other persons, Ngaraipam (35) and Shangreivo (32) both from Sanakthal, Senapati, with the contraband haul.
