BJP Govt unable to bring new projects: Ibobi

Former chief minister and CLP leader O Ibobi Singh contended that the present BJP-led government in the state is unable to complete projects brought by the previous Congress government from the Centre, leave aside initiate new projects.
Speaking at INC's monthly mass enrolment programme organised by Heirok Block Congress Committee on Sunday at Moirangthem Ibotombi memorial complex, Heirok, Ibobi also charged the present government of intentionally keeping various development policies and programmes initiated by the Congress government incomplete.
Elucidating his point, he pointed out that development work at Heirok Higher Secondary School and establishment of engineering college at Heirok were done by Congress government but the incumbent Heirok MLA is yet to bring any new project in Heirok AC.
While appealing to people to teach BJP a befitting lesson in the forthcoming assembly election, Ibobi said that the fate of Manipur has to be decided by the people while reiterating that development projects initiated by the previous Congress government have been wasted by the present government.
Former Union minister and AICC election observer for Manipur Jairam Ramesh, who also attended the enrolment programme, said that the Narendra Modi government at the Centre would not return to power and the government led by N Biren in Manipur too will suffer defeat in the 2022 assembly election.
Former Heirok MLA M Okendro, in his speech, said that a total of 1250 voters of Heirok have joined Congress so far in addition of 250 BJP workers embracing the Congress ideologies.
He also thanked voters of Heirok for having faith on him and Congress party.
The enrolment programme was also attended by AICC's Manipur in-charge Bhakta Charan Das, AICC national convener (social media) Pra-nav Vaccharajini, CWC member and former deputy CM Gaikhangam, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) interim president N Loken, Congress MLAs and prominent members of MPCC.
