Guwahati hospital now comes under CMHT

Department of Health and Family Welfare, Manipur, today signed an MoU with Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Guwahati, for empanelment of Chief Ministergi Hakselgi Tengbang, CMHT.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Health Minister L Javantakumar Singh.
Speaking at the occasion, Jayantakumar said that this is a landmark in the history of Manipur, especially in the health sector.
He said that 84,209 families have been enrolled for the State to get the benefit of health insurance covering upto Rs 2,00,000 for a family in a year.
Around 5 lakh people have been registered with CMHT in the State.
A total of 20,298 CMHT card holders have been given free treatment.
Rs 27.57 core have been spent in CMHT so far, he added.
The newly empanelled Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Guwahati will provide free treatment for CMHT card holders of the State in cardiology, general surgery, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, nephrology, urology, orthopaedics, gastrology, and kidney related ailments.
The Health Department is also ready to sign another ten MoUs with hospitals located outside, he added.
Jayantakumar also appealed the media persons to propagate the message of today's occasion to the public so that CMHT card holders can avail the facilities.
On the other hand, Director Heath Services Manipur, Dr K Rajo Singh said that the landmark signing of the MoU will ensure numerous facilities for CMHT card holders of the State.
He also appealed the people to enjoy this benefits provided by the State Government.
