Low-priced Super Fine of one quintal each was sold to the public at Rs 10 per kg at Shamukhong, Keishampat Junction, Khoyathong and Palace gate.

The distribution started at 10 am and continued till 4:30 pm.

The Department will continue this exercise until further notice by the Government, official sources said.
One of the buyers said such a good step taken by the Government is worthy at a time when the people are purchasing rice produced in the state at Rs 27-28 a kg.
However, most of the buyers said it would be much better if the Government increases the 5 kg to 10 kg.
