Sensitization programme on NEP 2020 held at Kha Manipur College, United College

A one day sensitization programme on NEP (National Education Policy) 2020 was organised today at United College, Lambung, Chandel with the Education Minister, Sorokhaibam Rajen Singh as the chief guest.
Addressing the programme, the Minister stated that the government is trying to train the students by implementing vocational courses and multi-disciplinary courses to the Colleges of Manipur under NEP.
He stated that the government is committed to uplift the Colleges to get accredited by NAAC, Bangalore by scoring not less than 2.5 and thus the colleges should work towards this goal.
The Minister assured to solve the issue of shortage of teaching & non-teaching staff in the college as raised by ex-MLA, Victor Nulhung, Chandel and Dr BD Thumdal, Principal United College.
The programme was attended by Dr Rangitabali Waikhom, IAS, Director, University & Higher Education; M Rajkumar, IAS, DC Chandel; T Ojit Singh, Joint Director, University & Higher Education; P Shantikumar, MCS and Shantikumar, ex president, BJP Manipur.
Another sensitization programme on NEP 2020 was also held at the Multi-purpose Hall of Kha Manipur College, Kakching Wairi Panjao Pallum.
The programme organised by Kha Manipur Collage, IQAC under the Directorate of University & Higher Education was attended by Nongmaithem Nimai, president, Senior Citizen Forum Kakching; P Raghu, Principal Kha Manipur College; retired Principals, Dr Salam Khogen and Pukhrambam Nimai as presidium members.
