Budget session from today ; House to discuss Municipality Bill

Imphal, June 26 2012:
The second Assembly session of the 10th Manipur State Legislative Assembly, which will be a full budget session, will commence from tomorrow and carried on till July 13 next.
Although the Assembly session will take place from June 27 to July 13, the Assembly sitting, there will be only 12 sittings.
Apart from the weekends being a holiday, there will be no Assembly sitting on 29th of June on account of Kanglen festival.
The Governor will be addressing the House on June 28 .
On July 2, Chief Minister O Ibobi is expected to table 2012-13 budget in the house.
The general discussion on the Budget, however, will be done the following day.
On the other hand, the State Cabinet has given its mod to discussion on Manipur Municipality Sixth Amendment Bill, 2012 in the forthcoming Assembly Session schedule to begin from tomorrow.
A meeting of the Cabinet meeting which was held today with Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh in the chair decided to bring up two different bills in the Assembly session.
The two bills are Manipur Municipality Sixth Amendment Bill, 2012 and Introduction of Manipur Parliamentary Secretary Appointment, Salary, Allowance and Miscellaneous Provision Bill 2012, according to a reliable source.
