Imphal Traffic to be regulated on January 23, 26

Imphal, January 22 2015:
In connection with the full dress rehearsal and the main function of the Republic Day celebration, movement of vehicular traffic along the roads of Imphal would be regulated on January 23 and 26 respectively.
According to a statement issued by SP Imphal West District, no vehicles except that of the VIPs and the invitees having valid car passes issued by the State Home Department shall be allowed to ply towards the north of Krishna Premi Oil Pump, Moirangkhom along HN-39; Keishampat to Khwai Bazar; Maharani Bridge to Dukanthong; Babuthong; Kangchup Road to flyover and Khoyathong; Khoyathong to North AOC and Sanjenthong to western gate of Kangla and Keishampat bridge on January 23 and 26 respectively till the functions are over.
There will be only one-way traffic from south to north and no vehicle shall be allowed to ply from north to south.

As for the traffic diversion points, the SP informed that all vehicles coming from Singjamei side along NH-39 shall be diverted from Singjamei bridge and New Thumbuthong bridge towards Kongba side and then to Palace compound and park there.
All vehicles coming from Mayang Imphal side along Mayai Lambi shall be diverted from Keishampat junction towards former Krishnadas Oil pump to drop/pick up passengers beyond former oil pump and will proceed towards Kwakeithel and then towards Ningthemha Karong or Khagempalli road.
All vehicles coming from Tiddim Road shall be diverted from Kwakeithel Bazaar towards Tera Bazar-Naoremthong-Uripok Canteen Road, Lamphel Supermarket and come back via Watham Leirak, Thangmeiband Road, Nagaland Road, Waheng Leikai Road, Keishampat Junction and pick up passengers from Churachandpur bus parking near former Krishnadas oil pump.
All vehicles coming from new Cachar Road may be parked at Sagolband Moirang Leirak parking.
Trucks shall be diverted from Tera Bazaar-Naoremthong-Uripok Canteen Road and Sana Keithel, Lamphelpat.
Vehicles coming from Kangchup side may be parked at the northern side of Uripok (i.e.beyond the end of Flyover Bridge).
For vehicles coming from Senapati side, they shall be diverted from Chingmrirong Khongnang Ani Karak towards Central Bus Terminus, Dingku Road and all vehicles may be diverted from North AOC towards Minuthong, RDS crossing Kongba road and then New Thumbuthong and Singjamei Bridge.
Moreover, all vehicles may be diverted from Khongnang Ani Karak Junction towards Lilashing Khongnangkhong and Lamlong or Minuthong via Dingku Road, Pandon Road.
All vehicles crossing Minuthong and proceeding towards Imphal West will be diverted to Pandon Road and Dingku Road.
As for vehicles coming from Andro and Yairipok side, they shall be stopped at Andro Parking near Bheigo Saw Mill and parked there.
Lastly, all four wheelers and two wheelers carrying passengers to witness the main functions of the Republic Day celebration shall be parked at Lairembi Lampak near Keishampat junction, in front of the Sessions Court and Krishna Premi Oil Pump at Moirangkhom.
