JAC holds public meeting, adopts several resolutions

Imphal, February 19 2020: Decrying the death of Chongtham Ningol Ayekpam (o) Merina on February 13 midnight, which has been termed suspicious by the JAC concerned, a public meeting was organised by the JAC at Sagolband Tera Loukrakpam Leikai today, demanding the authority concerned to nab the culprit(s) at the earliest.

The JAC was formed yesterday.

The meeting resolved to not claim the dead body of Merina until the real cause of death is disclosed by the authority concerned and further decided to submit a memorandum to the Chief Minister on the matter.

Different CSOs and associations, which were present at the meeting extended solidarity to the JAC and assured to support its movement demanding justice for Merina.
