NPF party workers interaction prog held

An interaction programme for NPF workers of 52 Tamei AC was held at Amity Hall, Chingmeirong today.
52 Tamei AC MLA Awangbow Newmai, Tamenglong ADC Chairman Namsinrei Panmei, Tamenglong ADC Members, Tamenglong ADC spokesperson K Liangpibou, ADC Member election agent Micah Panmei, Town Baptist Church, Tamei Pastor Kabonang along with locals attended.
Underlining the importance of maintaining peace in the district, MLA Newmai stated that an area will not prosper and develop without peace.
So, far the BJP Govt has launched several welfare development projects in the State, he said.
Tamenglong being one of the most backward district in the State, the people of the district should join hands, develop cooperation and make proper use of the schemes launched by the Government for the welfare and development of the district, he said.
Newmai claimed that as long as the roads in Kaiphundai is repaired, the district cannot forward in bringing development.
Expressing positive reaction that development will be brought in the district soon, he asserted that necessary steps are being taken up to ensure proper functioning of the sub divisions and the district headquarters.
The Bank Of India branch which was opened in district 30 years back has remained defunct causing inconveniences to the people of the district.
He further assured that necessary measures are underway to reopen the bank.
He claimed that the sub divisions under the district has received necessary facilities like drinking water under PHED.
He stated that a meeting will be conducted on July 2 in which all the NFSA agents should attend while cautioning that the name of the agent absent on the meeting will be removed.
Grievances will also be analysed during the meeting, he added.
He further urged all the people of Tamenglong to extend their cooperation and assistance in bringing development in the district.
