Imphal, May 13 2020:
Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) has urged the authorities concerned to strengthen vigilance at border areas to ensure no unauthorised entry of migrant workers into the State and at the same time arrange measures for safe return of those stranded to their respective States.
JCILPS lauded the State Government for bringing back stranded State natives from other States.
As Manipur is classified as green zone, it is pertinent that migrant workers would like to sneak into the State, the committee said urging the State Government to ramp up border sealing work and inter-State movements which will effectively help avoid COVID-19 .
