The High Court of Manipur will hear petitions filed for disqualification of seven MLAs tomorrow through video conferencing.
Seven fresh disqualification petitions were filed against seven MLAs who had won election on Congress tickets but have been supporting BJP led coalition Government.
A Single Bench of the HC will hear the cases tomorrow at around 10.30 am.
Today, three more disqualification petitions were filed in the High Court by Congress MLAs.
MLA Kh Joykisan filed disqualification petition against MLA Sanasam Bira of Kumbi AC, MLA O Surjakumar filed petition against MLA O Lukhoi of Wangoi AC and MLA K Ranjit filed petition against MLA Ginsuanhau of Singhat AC.
Four other fresh disqualification petitions were filed against four MLAs in the High Court earlier.
MLA K Meghachandra had filed petition against MLA Ngamthang Haokip of Saitu AC, MLA O Henry had filed petition against Ksh Biren of Lamlai AC, MLA K Govindas had filed petition against MLA Paonam Brojen of Wangjing Tentha AC and DD Thaisi had filed petition against MLA Y Surchandra of Kakching AC.
All seven disqualification petitions were filed by Senior Advocate and former Advocate General N Ibotombi as the counsel for the petitioners.
It may be noted that the Speaker Tribunal on May 8 had reserved the judgment order in connection with disqualification cases filed against the seven MLAs.
