3 State kids to get Bravery Award

Imphal, December 05 2013:
Out of the four children from the State projected by Manipur State Council for Child Welfare for receiving National Bravery Award, 2013, three have been chosen for conferring with the prestigious honour.
They are Kharibam Gunichand Devi of Charangpat, Kshetrimayum Kangleinganba of Tronglaobi Makha Leikai and (L) M Khayingthei of Tusen Chanhong, Ukhrul district.
All of them have been selected for saving other kids from drowning.
However, M Khayingthei lost his life while trying to save his two friends from drowning into a deep gorge river and he will be given the award posthumously.
The award will be presented to the selected children by the Prime Minister on the eve of Republic Day, 2014 at New Delhi and they will also take part in the Republic Day parade.
