Financial aid given to JEE passed student

BJP Manipur Pradesh former vice-president Thokchom Jadumani provided financial assistance ofRs 15,000 to one of the three selected candidates of llT-JEE from the State, Ningthoujam Rapsan of Khangabok Wangma, Thoubal district.
Speaking to media persons, the former BJP candidate from Thoubal AC stated that all the money for Ranjan's engineering course in West Bengal IIT, Kharagpur will be covered by him and the BJP considering the financial status of the family.
The money was handed to Rapsan in the presence of Seven Star Youth Club members, who deal with the collection of funds for studying abroad and local people.
Seven Star Youth Club secretary M Lokendro Singh stated that Ningthoujam Rapsan Singh secured 7086 rank (1193 rank in OBC) in the IIT-JEE conducted by CBSE .
He further stated that Rapsan is the son of Ningthoujam Manoyaima and Ningthoujam ongbi Pumimashi.
His father is always bed ridden and was not able to look after the family and his mother is a street vendor.
The admission fee to IIT, Kharakpur is 80,000 and the total course fee is Rs 4 lakh, he added.
Being the youngest among three siblings, he shifted his studies from JNV, Umathel, Thoubal to JNV, Pune after being selected for the JNV Dakshana scholarship.
He secured positions and awards at various National level competition.
His mother said that she asked for assistance at Manipur Press Club for Rapsan's studies since she does not want him to quit.
He will leave for West Bengal on July 1 for counselling.
