State Govt's new projects for hill districts Govt fumbles on sanction order copies

The BJP-led coalition Government was unable to produce any copies of the sanction orders regarding the funds sanctioned for the projects announced by Chief Minister N Biren Singh for hill districts .
During the question hour of the State Assembly session today, Deputy Chief Minister Y Joykumar, replying to a question raised by the Opposition MLA Kh Joykisan, stated that sanction orders have been issued for 97 of the total projects announced by the State Government for the hill districts .
He however, assured to produce the copies of the sanction orders before the House at a later date .
Joykisan put forward many questions including such as the Government’s failure to produce copies of the 97 sanction orders, the total budget of the sanction orders, total amounts sanctioned by the previous State Government and the new State Government, whether the DPRs for the sanctioned projects were submitted during the tenure of the previous Government or the new Government .
Replying to the MLA's queries, Deputy CM, Y Joykumar stated that the copies of the 97 sanction orders cannot be produced due to time constraint and the copies need to be issued by the Departments concerned .
All the projects are on-going projects and the number of sanction orders issued by the State Government during such a short time shows the dedication and persistence of the new State Government, he added .
He further pointed out that the State Government will take up more projects taking into account the available funds .
Replying to a question by the Opposition MLA, the Deputy CM expressed belief that the implementation of GST will increase the tax revenue and added that from July to October, the State has been able to collect around Rs 35.5 crore from GST and Rs 72.5 crore from Integrated GST (IGST) .
