Judgement reserved till January 2

Special Court POCSO Imphal East, has reserved the judgement order of the trial against an accused individual who allegedly raped his own daughter in September last year somewhere in Imphal East district, till January 2 .
The judgement order was kept on reserved after the final argument hearing of the case before the Court yesterday .
The judgement order of the Court was kept on reserved after the continued argument hearing of the trial between the prosecution counsel and the defense counsel of the accused on December 6, 12, 16 and 20 .
The trail began from January onward after the IO of the case submitted the charge sheet before the Court and during the duration of the trial, a number of prosecution witnesses and defense witnesses gave their submissions before the Court .
It may be mentioned that the accused individual had been in judicial custody at Sajiwa Central Jail since September 23 last year.
The alleged rape incident came to light after the wife of the accused (the mother of the victim girl) lodged a written complaint before women police station Imphal East on September 19, stating that her daughter had been allegedly raped by her husband somewhere in Imphal East district and her daughter had revealed about the heinous act committed by her father on that day only (September 19) .
According to the complaint, on September 10, at around 9 pm, she went to have dinner at her younger brother's residence but her daughter stayed behind as she had a headache .
Taking advantage of the absence of people in the house, her husband (the victim's father) allegedly raped the victim girl .
It also mentioned that the victim did not disclose the incident due to threat by her father .
The complaint further mentioned that the incident is not the first, as the victim was allegedly raped by her father in the year 2015, when she along with her mother went to Kolkata where the accused was posted at the time.
