All-Club Organisation, Association and Meira Paibi Lup (ACOAM Lup), Kangleipak has come out to help the select poor families of Naoremthong Laishram Leikai and its surrounding areas by distributing edibles amid the lockdown.
The noble work was carried out in association with Laishram Leikai Development Committee (LKHLDC) and such work to help alleviate the suffering of deprived families will be continued at other localities too, said a press statement issued by ACOAM Lup.
Those who need any assistance may also contact ACOAM Lup, it added.
In the meantime, the conglomerate body expressed gratitude to the Medical Department for initiating 'telemedicine' which will facilitate patients to connect with doctors for necessary advice remotely and reduce the hardship of many to some extent.
The statement also continued that telemedicine facility has been a long-standing request from the body as an emergency diagnostic and treatment facilities at Government and private hospitals and clinics, have been almost stalled due to COVID-19 lockdown.
The body also expressed hope that doctors and those in allied services will be discharging their duties at their best.
The body while urging those working in the transportation sector to act responsibly and avoid transporting non-locals during the prevailing situation, requested all to take the fight against the new disease seriously.
