Imphal, October 10 2014 :
Reacting to the news report of a combined team of Thoubal District Police Commando and 2nd Assam Rifles arresting five cadres of RPF/PLA from Salungpham area in Thoubal district along with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), the proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) has said the arrested persons are related neither to the outfit nor its armed wing People's Liberation Army (PLA) .
According to a statement issued by the Chief of RPF's Department of Publicity Bangkim, the five persons arrested by the security forces, namely Furitsabam Manimohon Meetei (42), s/o Ph Dharma Meitei of Salungfam Maning Leikai; Pebam Roben; Naorem Sova Meeitei (59), s/o late N Mera Meitei of Salungfam Maning Leikai; Thokchom Raghumani (42), s/o Th Nimai of Khangabok Part-3 Makha Leikai; and Jakir Hussien @ Babu Khan, s/o Md Junap Ali of Yairipok Ningthounai Mathak Leikai are all civilians and they have been trapped by the Indian security forces in order to claim rewards from their colonial masters.
The people of Manipur have always resisted the conniving acts of the security forces.
The brutal rape and murder of Thangjam Manorama in 2004 and that of Chungkham Sanjit at BT Road in 2009 have shown the true colour of the Indian forces.
The people are totally against such heinous behaviour of the security personnel.
They should better keep in mind that they would never succeed in pleasing their masters through falsehood.
Some police personnel have already been shaken after cases of murder are filed against them in the law court, the statement added.
