JAC urges Winger driver

JAC constituted against the dead of Heikrujam Thoiba of Ningthoukhong Maning Ward No 7 has asked the driver of Tata Winger, who hit Thoiba to death, to reveal his identity at the earliest.
In a press conference held at Manipur Press Club, JAC Convenor RK Tombisana said that Heikrujam Thoiba (48) was hit by a speeding Tata Winger at Ghari Lamkhai at around 7.30 pm on September 30 last.
After violently hitting Thoiba, who went on a bicycle to a nearby shop to purchase some goods, the driver sped away towards Imphal without even looking at the victim, RK Tombisana said.
She added that Thoibi was engaged as a mason in the construction of Life School boarding at Ghari Lamkhai Maning Leikai Khwairakpam.
Saying that Thoiba was rushed to RIMS hospital after the incident, Tombisana said that he however succumbed to his injuries the same day after he was referred to Raj Medicity.
Tombisana requested the driver of the Tata Winger to contact on mobile phone number 9089864794 and help the victim's family on humanitarian ground.
Thoiba is survived by five daughters.
