PFA rescues animals

Imphal, October 10 2014 :
Intensifying the 3rd Greet Our Guest campaign, an injured kite was rescued from a paddy field in Yairipok by a VDF personnel namely, AK Surjit Singh.
The kite was handed over to AK Sobha, Councillor Ward No 2, Yairipok Nagar Panchayat by Sobha who in turn handed over to PFA Manipur today.
Later, the bird was sent for treatment in a veterinary clinic.
In another incident, a Tokay Gecko was handed over by Yurembam Arun of Antha Mamang Leikai to PFA Thoubal.
The lizard was reportedly found inside his kitchen garden on Wednesday, said a press release issued by PFA, Manipur.
