Imphal, May 19 2009: NSA Detention orders of seven undergrounds including a woman in jails have been rejected by the NSA Advisory Board of the Manipur government, official source said Tuesday.

The board is considering on the ground of detention orders of seven other undergrounds among which one is also a woman, the source informing on the ongoing sitting of the board at Shajiwa Jail complex said.

The under trial militants whose detention orders issued by the respective district magistrates were Wahengbam Ahongjao (55) of Keinou Thongkhong, Salam Boyaima of Moirang Khunou of Bishnupur district, Laithangbam Bochabi @ Bocha (35) hailing from Jiribam Bapubara currently residing at Luwangshangbam, Potsangbam Leibakchao of Pukhau Terapur of Imphal east district, Kangabam Jadumani of Charangpat in Thoubal district currently residing at Wangkhei in Imphal east, Ningthoujam Dinesh (33) of Thanga Lawai Awang Leikai and G Akash (34) of Sangolband of Imphal west.

The lone woman activist whose detention order under NSA by the Imphal west district magistrate has been rejected was identified as Yumnam Bilashini @ Mema of Sagolband Bijoy Govinda.

The detention orders of some of them have been cancelled on the completion of the NSA term of one year while for the rest following case filed in the court of the Guwahati high Court against the detention orders, the source maintained.

Some of the detenus were recently brought back from jails outside the state like Tihar in New Delhi and Jodhapur jail in Rajasthan.

The source further said that the NSA Advisory Board is currently considering the ground of detention of seven other underground cadres including women under trial prisoners.

The sitting commenced from May 15 and concluded today.

The seven underground cadres whose detention orders are under observation were Nandeibam Aruna @ Kunjeshwori @ Abe @ Cheche of Kongba Uchekon,Lourembam Naochabi @ Subachandra @ Thouba of Singjamei Nameirakpam Leikai, Khaidem ningol Laithangbam ongbi Sunibala (38) wife of Laithangbam Ranjit of Tronglaobi currently residing at Uripok Achom Leikai, Laishram Kishorjit @ Ibochouba (38) of Singjamei Naorem Leikai, Md Juma Khan alias Tiger (22) of Yairipok Shikhong presently Keirao Mamang Leikai, Thongam Khelendro @ Laingamba @ Tomba (40) of Uripok Khaidem Leikai presently residing at Toudhong Khunou and Thoudam Abdul @ Arun @ Manoj @ Mangang (29) .
