Workshop on NEP-2020 at Lilong Haoreibi College

A Sensitization cum Workshop on National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has been organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Lilong Haoreibi College on yesterday at the Multipurpose Hall of the College.
The workshop was sponsored by the Directorate of University and Higher Education, Govt of Manipur with an objective to familiarize the concept of the NEP 2020 before being implemented nationwide.
The workshop was attended by the MLA of Lilong Assembly Constituency Yumkhaibam Antas Khan as the Chief Guest, Vice President of the Lilong Haoreibi College Alumni Association Moichingmayum Kheiruddin Shah as the guest of honour and President of Lilong Haoreibi College Teachers Association E Bhorot Singh as functional president.
Mission 2.5 + (NAAC) core team member and mentor Dr Th Tilak Raj Singh presented the NEP 2020 document for the higher education sector and discussed in details with teachers, students, elected members, local leaders and alumni members.
Principal of Lilong Haoreibi College Dr Raheijuddin Sheikh highlighted the need of organizing such workshops very often so that we can face the challenges lying ahead after the adoption of the policy.
He said, "the adoption of NEP may bring a situation we faced in the demonetization but if we prepare well ahead we can overcome any sort challenges we may likely face in the education sector.
Once it has been adopted, it would be new beginning in the education system" .
Speaking as the chief guest, MLA of Lilong A/C Antas Khan reiterated that he would extend all possible efforts to solve the pending issues of the college including cases related to UGC within a very short period of time.
Stating that education is the backbone of the society, he has assured that he would do whatever he could do to achieve the targeted goals in preparing for the ensuing NAAC accreditation of the college.
