Imphal, June 26 2012:
Manipur State Congress Party (MSCP) is likely to vote for Pranab Mukherjee, who is the lone candidate of UPA in the Presidential elections slated on July 19 next.
Although a consensus is yet to be brought, a meeting of the party was held to discuss the issue today.
No decision could be taken due to absence of required members in the meeting for arriving at a consensus.
Accordingly, the party has called yet another meeting on June 29 to finalise the issue.
At present there are 5 MLAs of the party.
Meanwhile, the Trinamool Congress, which has 7 MLAs, is still unable to decide whom it should vote for in the Presidential elections.
The decision could be taken only after consulting party supremo Mamata Banerjee, party sources said.
The Naga People's Front (NPF), which has 4 MLAs, too is yet to take any decision with regard to ensuing Presidential elections and the decision will be finalised after consultation with party High Command in Nagaland.
