Imphal, October 08 2012:
Extending greetings to fellow organisations, people of both hills and plain and CSOs of the state on its 35th Raising Day, the proscribed People's Revolutionary Army of Kangleipak (PREPAK) has alleged that the India government is trying to make the whole North East region a communal riot zone by instilling hatred between the indigenous people and the illegal migrants.
In a statement, Chairman of PREPAK, N Nongdrenkhomba stated that after its independence from the British rule in 1947; October 15, 1949 and November 18, 1950 have been the darkest days in the history of Manipur.
On October 15, 1949, Manipur was forcefully annexed into Indian Union and on November 18, 1950,..Inner Line permit system was lifted by the Indian government.
Since then, India government has been planning many secret agendas to send in illegal migrants from different parts of India and other countries to liquidate the indigenous people of Manipur.
Today, the world is moving ahead in the path of development and many nations have got themselves freed from colonial rules lately.
Quebec and Catalonia have become Self Governing Nations while South Sudan has become the youngest sovereign nation in the world.
In such changing world, people of Manipur should no more remain idle under the colonial rule.
Revolutionary organisations in the state have been fighting for the lost freedom of Manipur along the people since the day Manipur was merged into Indian Union.
Unfortunately, the state government, which has become a mere puppet in the hand of the Centre is using all its might to root out the ongoing revolutions in the state.
However, they should know that using security forces to root out the revolutionary movement by way of violating the civil rights and oppressing the people, would not get them their objectives.
Everyone know that Indian security forces have been oppressing the innocent people of the state since Manipur became a part of India and the people of the state have been revolting against the colonial rule through different ways.
Even in the 21st century, India government is violating the fundamental rights of the people of the Western South East Asia region with the help of its huge armies while ignoring the UN Charter on human rights.
UN Special Rapporteur Christof Heyns on March 30 this year said during a conference in New Delhi that India has many practices of fake encounters, large number of custodial deaths, cases of extra judicial killings and uncounted violence by the state as well as non state forces.
Despite various recommendations and pressure from the United Nations, India has been practicing colonial rule in the state by implementing many draconian Acts and giving extra powers to the security forces.
In such a situation, giving up narrow outlook of the government and violation of human rights will be the right choices for the India government, the statement added.
Instead of finding the root cause of the armed conflicts in the North Eastern region, Kashmir, Punjab and Maoists stronghold areas, the India government is trying to suppress the rising armed conflict by means of violence.
India has been busy in instigating ill feelings between the revolutionary organisations and the common people by grooming reactionary organisations to carry out criminal activities in the name of revolutionary movement.
On the other hand, they are taking up some mere developmental programmes under its MCA project to cover up their misdeeds and earn the sympathy of innocent people.
Meanwhile, India is also trying to make the North East region into a communal riot zone of the indigenous people and the illegal migrants.
Moreover, they are trying to instill communal ill feelings among the different indigenous communities residing in the region.
In such a situation, people should be aware of the secret agendas of the India government and should not engage in any communal activities.
Around 40 small races have become extinct from the surface of the earth according to UN reports.
The small races residing in the NE region are on the verge of extinction, the outfit observed.
The statement further observed that seven revolutionary organisations in the state have become united and formed CorCom to fight against the India government, thus attaining a milestone in the freedom struggle.
A solution to the present conflict can come about only after India government withdraws its security forces from Manipur and recognizes each other as two separate nations.
