Imphal, July 04 2015 :
United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) has clarified on Saturday that the outfit had been liberalizing Hemkhothang Touthang and Jangmang Baite of Jangngoulen village on certain issues pertaining to Kuki nationalism since they missed some vital points and they were never assaulted as alleged by KNLF/KNO.
MP Haokip, Secretary Information and Publicity, UKLF in a statement further warned that the duo could get 'punishment of highest degree' if they fail to mend their ways in future.
"The KNLF/KNO press statement has shown that it is nothing but an armed gang of a certain political party and we find it very shameful," the statement said.
The KNLF/KNO statement mentioned something called "Zo-land" which is a foreign terminology to the Kukis, it said, asking that at certain point of time they talk about Zalengam in Burma, sometimes Kukiland and sometimes Kuki State in Manipur and now Zoland and next what? "This clearly indicates that KNLF/KNO don't have a political vision.
Kuki people should be aware of such rudderless ship that will take them to nowhere," UKLF claimed.
As for the UKLF, it always has been for an honourable settlement of the Kuki political problem since its inception and nothing else, the outfit asserted.
It added, "UKLF is of the Kukis for the Kukis and by the Kukis.
This is our standpoint" .
KLF said it strongly condemns the July 2, 2015 evening incident wherein house of Pu Mangi Aimol, UKLF Unit-III Public Relation Officer (PRO) was attacked and vandalised in his absence at Aimol Satu village by some miscreants belonging to the same village.
Properties worth lakhs of rupees were destroyed in the attack, it said, adding such thoughtless attacks on a senior national worker is uncalled for under any circumstances.
