Imphal, May 12 2011:
Alleging irregularity in the recruitment of the Supervisor of DOTS under RNTCP, Senapati district, the Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) today, in a memorandum, drew the attention of the Health & Family Welfare minister to intervene into the matter.
In the memorandum, SDSA also urged the authority to clarify the matter within May 20, failing which, they will not hesitate to agitate in the larger interest of the students' fraternity.
As per the advertisement, an interview for the post of Supervisor of DOTs under RNTCP was called on April 25 in which only four candidates from Senapati district had responded.
The SDSA said, when the result was declared in April, none of the candidates passed the interview but a lady by the name L Kiranbala Devi who did not even apply or was present in the DPC held in Senapati district was selected.
SDSA took the matter seriously and will not compromise with such a "day light robbery of district employment by the concerned department," the memorandum warned.
